Doug Dedman

President/Principal

Doug Dedman first joined DBM in 1990 while studying at the University of Waterloo. While at DBM, Doug discovered a passion for helping customers implement real change in their organizations. In his roles as a consultant, project manager, and program director, Doug became well versed in S&OP implementation and was instrumental in growing the practice that DBM is today.

Doug spent four years on the technology side of S&OP as VP of Global Services for Steelwedge Software before returning to DBM and purchasing the company in 2018. In addition, Doug has been a sessional instructor in Supply Chain Management at the Conestoga College School of Business, as well as teaching various APICS (ASCM) courses as part of the CPIM Program. Doug is also passionate about sustainable agricultural practices, raising a small herd of grass-fed purebred Galloway cattle with his wife Sheila on their family farm.

James Dedman

Director of Business Development

James has a background in marketing and relationship management, including experience in content creation, campaign management, and recruitment. He holds a degree in Marketing Management from the University of Guelph, where he participated in marketing competitions that leveraged his communication and analytical skills. James is also a multi-instrumentalist and has played in a variety of bands including jazz groups, choirs, and rock bands.

Wendy Smith

Project Support Specialist

Wendy has experience in administrative support and project management. Her goal is to ensure that clients are supported throughout their training and implementation of an S&OP process. She graduated from the University of Waterloo, where she studied science and business. Wendy enjoys utilizing her creative skills to paint and design art. She also enjoys long-distance running and has run a half-marathon.

Adrien Kleinikkink

Lead Software Developer

Adrian is responsible for architecting, improving, and maintaining the 5-Section Sheet S&OP Tool. Adrian graduated from Conestoga College from the Information Technology Innovation and Design program. A hobby he enjoys is mountain biking. Adrien has also designed the geometry for a custom bike that he rides.

Duncan McLeod

Founder

Duncan McLeod is one of the world’s most sought-after Sales and Operations Planning experts. His extensive hands-on manufacturing background and global S&OP experience drives a unique understanding of executive management, which allows him to continually push the boundaries of S&OP leadership.

Duncan founded DBM Systems in 1980 and has since been helping hundreds of organizations achieve their goals. For the past 10 years, S&OP has become the focus of his research and consulting. His book Sales and Operations Planning: How to Run an S&OP Process Everyone Understands has become one of the best-selling books on the subject, and he has been a frequent guest speaker at both APICS (ASCM) chapters and international conferences. In his spare time, Duncan takes to hands-on hobbies such as woodworking and aviation.
